dog Training and Behaviour Support

Specialist, science led support for dogs and cats

Daniel provides specialist behaviour and training support for dogs and cats across the UK and internationally, working both online and in person. Support may be delivered remotely via Zoom or, where appropriate, through in home visits that allow work to take place within the animal’s day to day environment. In person support is typically offered as a concentrated block over several days or a full week, allowing for deeper assessment, hands on guidance, and meaningful progress within real world contexts.

Daniel works with families whose dogs or cats are experiencing behavioural difficulties that affect everyday life. This includes concerns such as fear, anxiety, frustration, aggression, chronic stress, breakdowns in coping, or challenges within multi dog or multi cat households. Daniel also supports cases where practical training is needed to improve safety, handling, predictability, or day to day management alongside behaviour change.

His work is grounded in neuroscience and psychology and focuses on understanding what an animal is experiencing rather than attempting to suppress behaviour. This allows behaviour support plans to prioritise emotional wellbeing, safety, and realistic, sustainable change, particularly in complex or high risk cases where careful assessment and ethical decision making are essential.

Daniel has been a featured expert on BBC Southeast Today, TalkTV, and LBC News, and regularly teaches and consults internationally, supporting both professionals and pet owners across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US. Alongside his clinical work, he runs the Brain and Behaviour Academy, providing accessible education in animal behaviour, training, and neuroscience for those seeking a deeper understanding of animals and their behaviour.

All support is tailored to the individual animal, the household they live in, and the wider context surrounding the case. Fees vary depending on whether support is delivered online or in person, the length of support required, and the complexity of the case. Due to limited availability, in person work is scheduled selectively throughout the year and may not be immediately available, particularly for international travel. Early enquiry is recommended where in person support is being considered.
